i know i'm young (20) and i know this question has been asked a lot, but it doesn't seem fair that girls will tell me i'm "a great guy", "the sweetest guy ever" and that i'll "make someone very lucky" but then turn around and date a total jerk. i just want to know why girls are so blind to the perfect guy who stands right in front of them.

I'm 19, and girls around my age can be as immature as guys. A lot of them are just looking for short, fun relationships, and bad boys are really much better if that's all you're looking for. I'm going to say this loudly and clearly though: DON'T GIVE IN. There are girls out there looking for something more than that, but finding someone that you really connect with will take time and patience.
It sounds to me like you might be referring to a specific girl. Have you told her that you're interested? Maybe the problem is that she's just never thought of you in that way before. She would probably give you a chance if you asked her. Personally, I'm willing to give any respectable guy a chance, even if he takes me by surprise.
Just one more tip - girls are looking for kind, loyal, respectful guys, but they also want guys who can hold their own. Nothing annoys me more than a guy who agrees with me on absolutely everything I say and has no apparent opinions of his own. I like a guy with some confidence who knows how to treat me with respect at the same time.

We don't finish last.....that's a freakin myth. Nice guys kick As*. Secondly, there are no perfect guys. In 5 to 7 more years you will see what I mean. In truth, you are not what she is looking for right now....she has low self esteem and is willing to settle for the bad boy, because they are easy, not very bright, and can be lead around by the nose. You on the other hand are willing to treat her as a real woman. Bad boy will always see her as a little girl.

I am also in the same boat, girls tell me that i'm a really nice guy and to make sure i stay that way but then date guys who aren't nice. The only encouragement i can give you is that in a couple of years, those girls will want to settle down and thats when you be primed to win them. So don't give up yet!

we like the risk of getting hurt the drama hah but thats only some of us and its just a stage once we get hurt we go for guys that are nice i personally hate guys that are all into themselves. our hearts have to get broken before we can mend them and if they never get broken then we dont really know how special our good relationships are. Im sorry that you think this, but it will end. I think the girls you are into right now are in that phase but once its over you'll be the one there saying everythings going to be ok, and they will realize what they've wanted was always right in front of them...you!

DUDE i seriously don't know why "guys finish last". I honestly don't get it lol. I really love the nice guys.. i mean.. they're NICE! I DISLIKE JERKS. If a nice guy asked me out, I'd probably say yes! But i guess I like nice ones b/c i'm a nice girl myself lol. And they know how to treat a woman! Don't change, you will find a woman that has sense one day. Btw i'm younger, 16 lol.

only stupid girls make nice guys finish last. i dated a lot of guys that i discovered were jerks...needless to say, i had the last laugh when i cheated on them and broke up with them. they never knew what hit them, they thought they'd cheat first lol. anyways, most of those relationships only lasted like two months. i started dating a nice guy 4 years ago, and i'm still with him and haven't cheated.

it simple. most girls fall for the bad boy because they are blind to the truth and think that it will get them more places to date the "bad boy". i think its better to date the sweet guy cuz then you can be sure he'll treat you right. but take the girl out and show her a good time that way she can realize that its better to have the sweet guy than the bad boy.

nice guys don't finish last. have you heard that opposites attract? why would you want a female that's interested in jerks anyway? what does that say about her? you're a rare and special man that deserves the same in his woman. you need to find that special lady who can bring as much as you to the table.
