Gunpowder is a secondary EXPLOSIVE.

There isn't a SAFE way for a novice to make it. If you DO try, make sure to call your Mom and tell her you love her before you start. That way, after you're dead, she'll know.

In most states it is ILLEGAL to MAKE explosives. Also, black powder, which I believe is what you are asking about, is relatively unstable can detonate from a variety of sources including static electricity.

You seriously expect anyone is going to tell you what to use and how to do it in this day and age? You are just asking for a visit from the Feds, or an extraordinary rendition from the Department of Homeland Security (bunch of tossers that they are).
