do bank dishonour fees show on a credit history check?

Last week i was 17cents short for a periodic payment and the bank charged me $60! will this effect my credit applications in the future?

This fee should not effect your credit, but it depends on the bank. If you pay at least 90% of the periodic payment, the regulations allow the bank to consider your account up-to-date.

I would call your bank and ask for a fee waiver. If you are not habitually late, they may be willing to waive the $60.00 fee.
