You may think me rude or whatever, but honestly why do people smoke? It causes lung cancer and what not and IT KILLS YOU?
Why do it? Smoking is stupid, it kills you, doesn't make you look any older or cooler, and it effects people around you!

People smoke for the same reasons people drive cars. Lots of people getting killed by cars everyday, some even injured, but that doesnt stop people from using a car. Point is, the action, wether it is smoking or car accidents, hasn't hit home yet and there is not concern, until it does hit home. If you get my meaning.

Haha go you, I totally agree. I guess people do it to fit in, like if everyone had the same brand of shoes at your school and you didn't you would stick out right? And they might feel uncomfortable when everyone is smoking and someone asks them and they say no. But if they do start it's really hard to stop you know? Some people are determined to quit while others give up. Just a matter of whether the person is strong-willed or not I guess.

Maybe just because they choose to smoke.
You don't have to smoke to get lung cancer, breathing problems, or other illnesses that have been linked to smoking by the medical/health field.
Many choices we make in life are harmful, stupid, has diverse affects on yourself or others.
I find it interesting to find a lot of questions about smoking and it's ill affects. If you feel it's wrong for you, then it is. If someone else doesn't feel it's wrong for them, then it isn't.
Tollerence for other's beliefs and choices.

People smoke becuase they might want t fit in , But if they are willing to take the risks of killing themselves by smoking i think they STUPID.i mean why smoke and have lungs as black as can be when you could be a healthy person and live a healthy life.

People smoke because they were stupid enough to try it. Once you do, you get addicted, smoking is more addictive than heroine.

3. their parents smoke
4. they r just stupid
5. they dont know the consequences
6. they did it for someone else like bf or gf to have that person accept them
