Umm, Excuse me but, my grandfather(a democrat) lied about his age to fight in WW1. My father(a democrat) served in the navy during WWII and 25 years in the Air Force after that, went to Korea and Viet Nam. Myself(a democrat) have served in the Army and the Navy. My son(a democrat) is going into the Air Force. We do not hate the military.....

Its a love-hate relationship. Who was president when we won WWII? Truman, a democrat. He wasn't so afraid of the bomb that he couldn't nuke Japan.
Nobody hates the military, and nobody loves it. Its necessary. The things that make it work come from both the office of the President and from Congress. Why things are the way they are is about spin. Conservatives spin that they love the military. Democrats spin that they are pro-choice.
The real point is that human affairs are messy. Everyone loves a victory, or feeling strong and safe, democrat, republican, or communist. Nobody likes to pay a high price, and it takes fortitude. Look at Katrina, the democrats play like its their win (spin), but there are families unwilling to look for work because they were in Katrina, and now they get $1200 a month and free room and board in a town where rent for a 2 bedroom house in good condition is $300 per month - they live like kings. Life is messy, and bureaucratic solutions are clean and nice, and very nearly never work. They always have a real price to pay both here, where because of the price of bureaucracy and administration someone had to lose $2400 a month for every family getting $1200 per month to live like kings or in Iraq where soldiers are dying.

I suppose for the same reason Republicans hate poor people, black people, hispanic people, Muslim people, working people, and everyone else who doesn't live in their gated communities.
Frankly, I'm always a bit surprised to hear that not wanting to have soldiers killed for Haliburton's profit is somehow "hating" on the military. You people are all free to die to support the corporate elite. You can die here in factories, you can die in the Wal-Mart working for minimum wage, you can die of cancer, you can die of emphysema, you can die in a wreck with some asshole on his cell phone as he crushes you with his SUV. Feel free.
Speaking as a fifteen year veteran of the Army, I can say that the Democrats do not hate the military. The Democrats hate what Republicans DO with the military.
By the way, questioner, when did you sign up?

Democrats do not hate the military. In fact, most Democrats in congress are prior military as opposed to most Republicans are just business men. The reason the Democrats want the military out of this war is because they respect life, and as former soldiers themselves, have an insight as to what goes on in a war.

As I suspected yet another level 1 troll.
Sure am glad all trolls are neutered at birth.
Just love it when those that have never served in the military accuse others that have of hating the military

Democrats don't hate the Military, there just as many liberals as there are Republicans serving our country. They just don't like Bush's preemptive strike without any knowledge of what they claimed was in Iraq. Troops are coming everyday in caskets for no reason other than Bush wanted to get Saddam because he tried to kill his Father, be real do you really think one man is worth all our troops that are maimed for life and 3,000 died and there will be more.

I am a Rep, Dems dont hate the military-I dont think they are the best leaders to prepare for war, but they certainly dont hate the military. The Kerry comment was one thing, but Kerry doesnt represent all Dems thankfully and neither does Hillary.

We don't.
Reading the posts by some of the people here who dislike liberals is telling. Note their ignorant generalizations and their inability to spell.
