Its nice of you that you're concerned enough to ask. Some people think they know everything about us without asking. I often wonder where some get their information because quite often it is incorrect. Take for example:
They do not celebrate birthdays or holidays- and they believe they will be the 144,000 who will go to heaven and that is it- they are completely in a cult- this is unbiblical and they do not know what the Bible says- obviously. If you read about the 144,000 in Revelation you will see it is first of all MEN who kept themselves pure and are the firstfruits...they had no sin. SOOO that right there tells ya false doctrine.
Its true, we don't celebrate birthdays or holidays. They aren't scriptural practices, but actually have their roots in paganism. Since God's people are not to pollute their worship with that of other religions, what does that say about those religions that DO celebrate the world's holidays? Additionally, those celebrating holidays that are political in nature (for example, 4th of July) would be hard pressed to say they are keeping themselves separate from the political and national elements of the world if they are participating in such celebrations.
Jehovah's Witnesses strive to live in harmony with what the Bible actually teaches. We don't pollute our worship with man-made doctrines, such as the trinity doctrine, which the Catholic Church even acknowledges was not the thinking of the first century Christians, but was indoctrinated in the 3rd/4th century. Interesting that those closest to Jesus on earth weren't of that opinion, don't you think?
Further, its interesting to me that so many people think they are going to heaven, but have no idea what they will do when they get there. Everything created by God was created for its own specific purpose. Angels were created to live in heaven; man was created to live on earth. Note that the penalty for Adam and Eve should they rebel against God was that they would die. If they hadn't sinned, they would still be here now.
Does anyone read such scriptures as Ecclesiastes 9:5 which states: "For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."?
All men born on earth with the exception of Jesus (Adam wasn't born, he was created) were born into sin. According to Romans 3:23, 24 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and it is a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by ransom paid by Christ Jesus." Therefore, ALL have sinned. No one is exempt with the exception of Jesus who is the only one who could provide the ransom sacrifice.
The 144,000 were "bought from the earth" (Rev. 14:3). Their positions are as priests and kings with Jesus (Rev. 5:10). Their purpose is to assist in our judgment. And who better to judge us than imperfect humans who know our weaknesses and have had the same experiences that we have had. Its a loving provision of justice from God.

The people of GOD, the Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas because it is a pagan holiday, turned into a religious holiday by the Catholic religion. Jesus was not born on the date that the Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. If you read the BIBLE it doesn't say nothing about celebrating the birth of Jesus, so why celebrated,, it is just a day for the corporations to sell their products and make more money.. The government say it good for the economy, that's all. If you are really interested in the Truth, talk to a Jehovah's Witnesses, you will not regret it.

They do not celebrate Christmas so do not give a Christmas gift or send a card unless you are ready for a debate. They believe that Christ has already returned, they do not believe that they have any chance of going to Heaven, they do not believe in the Holy Trinity (God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit), they do not believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus, They believe that Jesus was Michael the Archangel, they do not believe in "once a Christian, always a Christian" and they do not believe in an eternal Hell.
That's just an overview.

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

I believe the best answer to this question should be given by a Jehovah Witness himself and not chalk up a correct answer by any posters thus far.
It's like Suzuki trying to tell Harley-Davidson the concept of the V-twin engine and its unique design.

They do not believe in Christmas. I wondered about that too, since I found out a friend of mine is a Jehovah. I went to:
www.watchtower.org
www.carm.org
The "religion" is quite different than regular Christianity. Their beliefs are a little strange, ie-No blood transfusions, no Halloween, no Christmas. Go see for yourself, it is very interesting. Good luck

They believe in pioneering.
They believe homosexuality is a bad habit similar to alcoholism which can be cured by becoming Jehovah's Witness. My youngest uncle, who is a Witness, explained it to me that way. He has developed chronic homophobia in the past few years. Even though I am straight, I don't like his attitude.
One of my cousins, who is a full-time pioneer, talked to me with a twitching sneer on his face, and prayed over his stack of pancakes, in front of me, before he left for his day of pioneering. That d*** snot pisses me off.
My youngest cousin left his school at about age 14 and is currently home-schooled because he couldn't get along. He's another snot.
You can tell what I think of some of the Witnesses: out-house compost.
They believe that only Witnesses will be resurrected from the dead.

Christmas is not celebrated because it is not Jesus birthday. Even if it was there is no mention of him celebrating his birthday when he was alive. You can give gifts all year but if you want to give a christmas present it would not be accepted. BTW, Jesus is belived in but he is not God he is God's son

Why are you asking that question in an open forum? If you want to know the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses, ask them. They are not hard to find.
