Whenever anyone pats my female kittens bottom, she starts to purr. o____O
Why?

And, by the way, I don't mean spanking.

Because she's a tramp.

I guess you don't know that when cats purr they are happy?
Rather have a cat that purrs then have one that bites, scratches or pees everywhere, right?

Also maybe she feels a little sexy when you touch her bottom? I hope no one is abusing her in that way?

Good luck with having a cat that OH my God "purrs"!!! ;)

Cats usually love being petted. They often have itchy spots that feel better when a human pets them there. Just in front of the tail on a cat's back is a favorite itchy spot. Your cat probably feels good when petted there.

Kittens love to be pet and cuddled. Your kitten is purring because she's probably happy and relaxed.

They purr when they are happy and content.

Then again, sometimes they purr when they are scared.

Thats just another way cats show their affection. That and her bottom is a place that most cats cant reach very well themselves and is probably thanking you for scratching it for her. My cat does it herself.
