In English you say: nineteen (a number) and ninety one (another number) to refer to 1991. In Spanish it does't work that way, 'cause "Diesinueve noventa y uno" it's not correct. If you were gonna say 1991 in English like it's said in Spanish, you would say: "one thousand nine hundred ninety one". That means: Mil novecientos noventa y uno.
