It can be done, but be very careful. Most of the Russian women online are fraudulant. Never send them money regardless of their story.
Lets assume you are lucky and found a real one. Would you want to live in Russia? Currently Vladamir Putin is trying to reconstruct communism, and has poisoned anyone who dares challenge him.
This is some scary stuff.
If you go over and meet her and everything works out, spend the money to get her into the US. She will be happier and so will you.

You could always find work initially as an English teacher, whichever school brought you over could arrange for your visa(assuming you're a native speaker and have some education), try doing a search on Google. Once you get there you would need to work on the Russian language (it's not easy) immediately so that you could think about finding a better job. Depending on where you'd be going in Russia, you might find the living conditions noticeably less comfortable than you're probably used to, and expect plenty of culture shock. But if you're determined (and both of you are sincere) you should be able to find a way.

I've heard of people marrying Russian women and bring them back to live here, but I 'm sure if you wanted to live there you could. I wonder what kind of employment you'd be able to have once you move there. They seem to be a little poor as far as I've seen on TV.

Well most countries accept if you marry a national you get automatic citizenship of that country.As regards work,it would depend on your skills.Obviously you'd need to be conversant with the language.Beware that you may become a russian citizen,your spouse does'nt become a citizen of your country

pretty easy i would assume. they must be crying out for workers as many have migrated. and the cost of living must be cheaper than the UK.
