When an act of disrespect for the President of the US occurs it should be punishable and in some cases it is. The wording of a threat or even cursing in the proper context can result in an arrest and punishment!!

There is HUGE difference between "bad-mouthing" and cursing the President, and actually threatening to harm the President.
You can't be arrested for bad-mouthing or cursing the President.
I am actually not sure you can be arrested for threatening the President, but I can almost guarantee that you will be visited by the Secret Service at the very least.
And by the way, I have seen and posted many responses here criticizing the President.
I have yet to see anyone actually threaten to harm the President in this forum.

You bet. Anything that is seen as a threat to the president can be considered a crime.
The question is why so many people want to threaten our president in the first place, rather than just wait to elect another one.
I suggest the angry Left started all this and it will be to our detriment from here on.

Here in our country we have a Right and is called Free Speech, and because of it they can't arrest you. This is one of the reason that we as Americans live in a free country and we are consider free people in the world. We all should be very proud of our way of life,,,, it is good. I rather have it this way than to live in a control system that you couldn't move with out the permission of the government... GOD bless America...

The first amendment of the Constitution guarantees that we have freedom of speech in this country; however, there is a difference between voicing one's opinion and threatening another human being. They should be arrested.

xoven - don't ASSume the whole country dislikes him.
Don't speak for me.
I think the President is doing better than the others would have done.
Y'all need to get over it. If you're complaining, you don't have time to fix the "problem" then you're part of the problem.

If you're actually threatening the president, you can be arrested. If you're just criticizing him, no.

We could not fit them all in prison. With a jerk like we have in the presidential seat, we would have to arrest the entire country
