Washing your hair everyday will not harm your hair the least bit!!! Water is the best moisturizer for hair especially if you have dry hair. It is what you are washing your hair with, is what will cause your hair to be excessively dry. Stay away from washing everyday with a clarifier, because that strips your hair of natural oils. Use a moisturizing or conditioning shampoo followed by a deep conditioner once a week. And also stay away from shampoos that contain ALCOHOL!! It is very bad for your hair and that what causes your hair to become dry. Stick to pathenol, vitamin b, and dimethicone-these nutrients will help seal in the moisture already in your hair.

It's not that it's bad for you. It's only that it can cause dryness and your hair is much more likely to get split ends which will delay the growing and cause frizzies. If you have to wash it every day then mostiurze and dont brush it when it's wet. Also if possible let it air dry.

Blow-drying, using a straight iron & styling your hair actually causes a lot more damage then just washing it. People with thinner hair should wash their hair daily, because it begins to look "greasy" sooner than peoples hair that is thicker or more coarse. I have fairly thick hair, I wash it every other day because otherwise it gets "crunchy" from blow drying.

Washing your hair too much can remove the natural oils that your hair needs. I usually wash my hair every other day but do wet it down every day. My hair has been so much healthier since I stopped washing it every day.

well shampoo has chemicals that work on the proteins in ur hair so frequent washing causes hair to fall out and the worst thing of all is that the more frequently uwash ur hair the quicker ur oil glands or whatever relaease oil....it just happens to trigger that and then u HAVE TO wash it everyday....so try to limit washing to every other day at least...

Washing your hair once a day (except when you go to the beach and the pool) can make you lose your hair.

It depends if you can just wash and go without blowdrying, using straighteners etc. Your hair starts to get used to it if you wash it everyday. Also if hair is very dry and you do use hairdryers etc, it can make it frizzy. Best to use a good quality daily shampoo and cond
