To answer my question no. People judge you, and if you are honest about yourself then you take the chance of being rejected. Also, in order to please people you have to put on an act and sort of hide the real you. I mean not saying certain things that you really believe in just to agree with someone. Also, exagerating on accomplishments and lying about your position in life is dishonesty.

Anyway, I'm angry because I am so honest some people just don't get how strong of a person it takes to tell it like it is. Everyone can be fake and pretend just to be liked, but that is just a coward in my eyes.

Honesty should be the only policy when it comes to relationships. Without honesty you cannot possibly form any trust and without trust, your relationship cannot flurrish as much as it can and it won't be stable and probably won't last.

If these people are angry because your honest then either forget about them or just ignore them until they get over it. They may not be mature enough to handle the fact that you can tell the truth.

Yes, honesty is the best policy. If you're in a relationship, the truth will come out eventually and cause friction that may break that relationship a part. Better to know before if things are likely to work than after your living together and trying to figure out who gets what furniture and who gets the dog when the break up happens.

Sometimes it's not what you say, but HOW you say it. You can be honest with people, give your opinions and stand your ground. Just be respectful when they do the same thing.

I've read a couple of your questions so far (i.e. "Am I a catch or not?"), and I don't think honesty is your problem...tact is. Yes, honesty is a very important trait to possess, but you've got to keep in mind that there is a lot of information that simply doesn't NEED to be said.

There's a big difference between being a call-it-like-it-is straight-shooter and just being annoying. Don't believe me? Next time you're talking to someone, and they ask your opinion, cut yourself off about three sentences shorter than you usually do. You might find a more positive response.

And just for the record, people tend to put up a false front, or exaggerate a little bit as a defense mechanism. It's not cowardice. It's a instinctual response to a fear of rejection or judgment. Please keep in mind that you're judging them for it. Granted, a lot of people take it too far...I'll give you that. Some people just need to confront their fears and move on. But getting angry at them for what is essentially human nature, that is a waste of your energy and, quite frankly, mean.

Honesty is the best when it comes to REAL relationships with people that actually matter to you. Those people may just be intimidated by how up front and real you actually are that they need to get used to you. If they still are stand offish then be "honest" with them and tell them that it is bothering you and you are just trying to be a good friend. I'm an honest person to and Ive earned a lot of respect for it. I think its the only policy when it comes to a relationship.

Honesty is always the best policy. You are right though, it takes a very strong person to be honest. Not just with people around you, but to yourself. Hang in there, because relationships (friends, bf/gf, family) built on honesty are strong, long-lasting ones.

Sometimes, though, when people are being honest, they can be ruthless with the delivery of the truth. It is possible to be totally honest and tactful enough not to hurt others with the truth.

Always be true to yourself. Others, if not now, in time, will respect you.

Sweetheart, someday you will meet the right person for you.
A matured and seasoned person who will find that your honesty is the highest quality that one should look for in a life partner.
I have respect for you already because your honesty is good.
Now if you add loyalty and respect for others ect.,then, you would be the one I would have interest in. Trust me, you will be okay.
Once you live life a little longer, you will realize that you are just fine. You have nothing to worry about.

I think it depends. If it is something that really can't be left unsaid, then it should be said. Like if you cheated on someone, it's best to come clean about that for everyone's safety and to regain trust in each other.

But if it is something like if a couple were to walk down the street and the man sees another hot lady, he should be polite and not say "Wow honey, her butt is so nice, why doesn't yours look like that?" even though he may be thinking that. It's just not polite.

So I guess it depends.

You have to know when to be dishonest. Dishonesty can save your azz every now and then the same way being to honest can get your azz hurt.

Anything in moderation. Most people like to be told only what they want to hear anyway.

It is the the best policy. If you are lying to someone else, it always comes back to bite you in the a.s.s. If you're honest with people, and clearly tell them what you're looking for, it doesn't come back to haunt you.
