That depends on how worn out my dogs are when he gets back! If they're beat, then $10, but if they come home ready for more... $2-$5 tops.

It depends on the dog I would think. I'd pay someone a couple of bucks to walk my chihuahua around the block. To take my aussie jogging however, might be worth a bit more.
Look at what a professional, bonded person in your area charges for the same service. If, in fact, you are the 12 year old, be prepared to explain to the homeowner what the walk will involve (poop scooping, etc)
As a pet owner, one of the reasons why I don't use a dog walker is the charge for the aussie who needed 45 minutes of play minimum was the same as for the chihuahuas. I was paying for two dogs, and only one got worn out (the chi).

that would totally depend on the dog. My sheltie would've been a $3-5 job - no trouble, easy going dog, doesn't want to go far. The beagle, who can't walk in a straight line, wants to eat everything that moves, and wants to follow his nose all over people's yards for 2 hours and 5 miles, that might be a $15 dollar job.

I would pay a weekly charge.
Say £15 - £20 for week.
I think you should find out how much a paper boy would get for delivering papers for a week then give the dog walker the same.

Payment for any service will vary from place to place. You need to work all of this out with the kid prior to them walking the dogs.

Sorry, I wouldn't hire a 12 yr old to walk my dog. One stray dog with not so good a temper, what's that 12 yr old gonna do?

Pay the youngster $5.00. Show him/her how to walk the dog, and never let go no matter -whatever happens.
