I went to a Baptist school and the people there were always saying ' I hate this' or ' I hate him' or 'I hate you' then they would turn around and preach about spreading the word of God. How is 'hating' people spreading the word of God? Is not the word of the Lord spread through actions as well?

Well i agree...i mostly hear that to..It drIves me crazy when they they to play god. then look at you as if you are not fit to walk on this earth and they are. i am so tired of them asking me if ive been "saved"...FREAKING SICK! They come across as such snobs....really they do..."well the gays go to hell...." "You like harry potter? your going to hell then!" excuse me......but i listen to god and no them. that's what they are doing... trying to play the goodie goodies who are always perfect. well id like to give them a big reality check.......on and this is a kicker.....YOUR NOT GOD! YOU DONT GET TO DECIDE WHO GOES TO HELL AND WHO DOSENT!" sorry but that's the way it is.....DEAL WITH IT! now to answer someones question, let me say this.....i agree that baptists are not ALL like that...but don't you think that there is SOMETHING wrong with this picture if SO many are complaining? chew on that 4 a while........you think that if you force things on people that they will submit and turn to god? "if you don't except god into your heart now your going to hell!"umm no! " I laugh........

Baptists are taught not to hate, so I'm not sure what Baptist school you attended but I sure would not want to go there either. God hates sin but loves the sinner. That is what we all should do and we would get along much better.
Try another Baptist church. Speak up the next time you hear anyone "hating" anyone or anything.

It would be good if there was a perfect Church, maybe they all start out well with Jesus at the head, then they get too organised and too much like a corporation, where money becomes the evil.
My prayer is that we all stop thinking about what the other church is or isn't doing and focus on Jesus.

You went to a pretty FREAKIE Baptist School.
Baptists are kind of "stiff" but not at all Hatefull!
Maybe you should check out the local Mosque - THERE YOU WILL FIND TRUE HATE!

I'm not Baptist but those I know and the school my niece went to were all delightful people.

It's a false gospel with erroneous doctrine. You should've picked up on it by now. Let's remember, the religion business at this hour is generally just that. A business. A scam. A front. For people who need a cover but their inner selves are still grossly, openly, palpably, corrupt.

I don't know why those people hated, but I do know that God hates sin. Maybe those people were referring to the sin...I don't know.

they are bible thumpers, they should be disregarded as a religion, they are false in their teachings, they preach against other religions like theirs is the only one and they are only Christians in name and they yell a lot like it's going to make a difference
