You're going to have a lot of people telling you if you can't afford to go to the vets than you shouldn't have an animal. However, do not listen to them, they do not know your financial circumstances when you got your pet and how they may have changed over time (which, people, could happen to any of us)and at least you are asking for some kind of help. I would ring the vets and ask for an opinion. Observe your dog, does it seem sick? Maybe contact your local RSPCA to see if they can help out with cheap services, or if need-be find a vet who will let you pay for the consultation in instalments. Hope your puppy is ok!

First of all, I just have to ask if your dog by any chance at all got a hold of a blue crayon or anything with blue dye in it.(cake icing)
If not, then I would keep an eye on him and make sure he gets better. If he doesn't, then you probably should find a way to take him to the vet. I understand that you don't have the money. I have been in that situation many of times. Good luck and I hope everything is fine with your dog.

Blue? What have you been feeding it? If it's hard, I wouldn't worry too much, unless there are other problematic symptoms; if it's soft, then something the dog ate didn't agree with the system... try just dry dog food for a couple of days to let the system go back to normal. There is no blood in the stool? That would be a bad sign and you need a vet.

stop feeding it smurfs! No really just take a sample of the dogs stool to the vets office and they can run a fecal on it to see what that is, it will cost no more than 12 dollars to test it, plus cost of medication if needed.

You need to take the dog to the vet if this is more than just a one time thing or if the dog has other symptoms.

Call the APL. They can often give you contact information for lower priced vet clinics.

Please do not get animals that you cannot afford to care for. Dogs are expensive, and like your children, when you get them, you take the responsibility for getting them medical care when they need it.
