i weigh about 155 and want to get down to at least 120. I have changed my diet a little bit, cut out greasy and fried food, no candy/sweets, little or no pasta rices and breads. and have been eating small portions. i do 20 sit ups every morning and night. i have been doing this for about 2 months and havent lost a single pound.

What excersises can i do at home that are effective and can do them with out spending money? What should i do to loose the weight?

You can try www.sparkpeople.com
It is a healthy way to lose weight.
You type in how much you want to lose and by when etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. The exercises can be done at home like dumbells, resistance bands & ball. You can also choose from walking, jogging,or a home video. There's many different options. It's like having a nutritionist and it is free. You also have support from the members. A real neat site. I'm quite impressed.
Enjoy!

God Bless!

so if you're not eating carbs, like pasta, rice and breads, what are you eating?

you're eating small portions of what?

Tell you what this is what you should do... I have gone on the GI Diet personally, and on the Body For Life program... they both work....

I did a little combination of both...

1/4 of your plate should be carbs (breads, pasta, rice)
Please note, you should try to use whole wheat products. Don't use white Bread.

1/4 of your plate should be protein (fish, chicken, etc.)
However, please make sure you cut down the fat.

half of your plate should be vegetables or fruits...

eat 3x a day with 2 snaks in between (fruits recommended)

it's that simple...

I lost 2 pounds a week doing diet alone...

By the way. You CANNOT "spot train". Just doing sit ups all day won't make your belly smaller. Rather than spot training, try to work out a different part of your body every other day...

monday could be chest and biceps and upper abs
wed could be triceps and back and lower abs
friday could be shoulders and oblique abs
and sat could be your legs

also a note about your sit ups... they're not enough...

do ab crunches instead...

Also, please do 3 to 4 sets

1st Set 15 to 20 reps
2nd set 12 to 15 reps
3rd set 8 to 12 reps
4th set 6 to 8 reps...

Please rest one minute after each set... You should hold your ab muscles for about two seconds when you've raised your back of the ground.

starving yourself or just eating protein will simply make your body in protection mode and it will not release these fats...

to lose weight, you have to eat right!

the proper portions of both carbs, protein and fats! cut down fat and sugar overall and all "processed" carbs such as white flour, white bread. eat more whole wheat items.

i suggest you buy these two books listed below... they helped me... i dropped from 165 to 130 and actually have a "four pack" right now.... a few more weeks and I could have that six pack.

good luck!

BTW. DO SOME CARDIO!!! Try running 3x a week for half an hour a day. Or simply brisk walk!
