if you dont like him then u arent obligated to go out wiht him
you proabaly feel really bad because you knwo if you liked someone and u got regected it would hurt
your a caring person
but what can u do if u dont like the person?
just be friends with him..
he should understand he cant force you if u dont like him

as long as you turned him down in a nice way.you have nothing to feel guilty about.you cannot go out with someone just cause you dont wana make them feel bad.but there are ways to be nice about it.
