The Scriptures quite plainly explain that humans can disqualify themselves from receiving everlasting life; it is only the faithful COMPLETION of a life course that assures salvation.
(Zephaniah 2:3) Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. PROBABLY you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah's anger. [emphasis added]
(Amos 5:15) Hate what is bad, and love what is good, and give justice a place in the gate. It MAY be that Jehovah the God of armies will show favor [emphasis added]
(Matthew 7:13-14) Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.
(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured TO THE END is the one that will be saved. [emphasis added]
(Philippians 2:12) Keep WORKING OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling [emphasis added]
(Hebrews 10:26-27) For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but there is a certain fearful expectation of judgment
(Hebrews 5:9) [Jesus] became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those OBEYING him [emphasis added]
(James 2:14,17) Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? ...17 Thus, too, faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.

Yes, If Rom 10:9 was the only verse in the bible that discussed salvation, then you would be correct.
Heb 10:26, 39
1 Cor 13:1-4
1 John 2:6
are just a few that help clarify our responsibity toward God, faith, and salvation.
And don't forget James 1:13,14; 2:26

classic esoteric Christianity is an extremely salvific (and consequently effectual) faith in that it works (that's, makes saints). yet no faith is "the actual faith". each faith with an esoteric center could serve to lead a extreme adherent to the reality previous words. yet provided that the saving course is surely lived, totally engaged, penetrated to the middle. It takes real artwork, conviction, and sacrifice. And no unmarried course has the monopoly on fact. palms pointing on the moon, my chum. not the moon itself. As for the Trinity, that's revealed interior the bible, on the same time as not right away asserted. It serves as a effective ability of conveying a God of affection, that's, a God of relationship, and has a koanic high quality that prevents human beings from attempting to well define the incomprehensible, transcendent God. And if Christ wasn't the two God and the two guy, because of the fact the councils desperate, then adult males ought to not grow to be god(s). The early church father Athanasius wrote: "guy grow to be human, so as that human beings ought to grow to be god." This approach of human deification is termed theosis.

How far do you want to go with that? Is "accepting" Christ itself works-based if we have to "authorize" Him into our heart? Do we really have no capability at all to look to God, where belief itself is a gift given by Him, period, no receipt necessary? This is Calvinism, and it means we are tainted with sin by our very nature, unconditionally elected to salvation, where Christ died for His own, not the entire human race. God loves us irresistably to Himself, holding us forever in our faith. Salvation is ALL God in saving us, and if man has to be part of the equation, then don't claim Calvinism as your faith. But from the sound of your post, you may want to check out the Reformed/Presbyterian denomination.

No, you've missed nothing.
Only the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has said that He loves us and has given , as a gift, the way of redemption for all.

Yes, I believe this is true. With the caveat that God knows your heart and mind. My point is many Christians fake their belief and people wonder why they turn from God...He never sent them the Holy Spirit. That is when you are saved; when God sends His Holy Spirit to a true believer. We ask and He may or may not acknowledge, depending on whether our faith is genuine or not...

Universal Unitarianism. That's not a part of their theology, but they encourage all individuals to walk their own path and interperet scripture in their own way. Personally - I think if you are a good person and have a personal relationship with the God of your understanding - you're good to go.

Exactly - It is God reaching to humans, whereas all other religion is humans trying to reach to God.
