'Mom, I started my cycle. I have some questions. Can we talk about it?'
No woman, Especially your mother, is going to laugh. She has one, too.

well i seriously hope your mother is not the kind of person who laughs at anyone including her own daughter, now getting your period is not a bad thing and telling your mother isn't either, so my suggestion is you go up to her as the big girl you are now turning into, and say mom we need to talk. and let her know you got it and i am sure she will give you a big hug and help you with anything that you need. Never be afraid of what anyone will think of you or say to you. She's your mother not your girlfriend from school who chances are might do that. (i meant your school friends)
good luck, young lady.

are you serious??? you should never be afraid to tell your parents anything. You may need to sit down and talk with your mother, because if you are afraid to tell her something that every girl goes through, how do you think you could tell her anything else that may happen in your life? Make sure you have a great relationship with your parents, they are there for YOU!

She won't laugh cause shes been through the same thing infact she will be happy that her little girl is turning into a woman. Just tell her, and she will help you the next time when you have cramps and stuff. I just hope you guys don't get your periods at the same time, that would really suck for your dad.lol

I doubt that she will laugh at you about that. It is a normal natural thing that happens to every girl. She is going to understand your situation.......i'm pretty sure she would of been just as embarrased when she was first had hers. Good luck sweety! :)
