My friend(lets call him Ben) Ben is really in love with this girl( lets call her Grace). But Ben also hates her at the same time(She's very mean,disrespectfull,ect) but he has true love feelings for her in such a way. He tries to get close to her and confort her but she always ignores him or is very rude to him. He's been trying for a year...possibly more but no improovement. What should my friend,Ben, do?

Well this Ben. Know what he should do is find a way to tell this Grace his true feelings. A way like tell a friend to tell her for u. Or like do something very nice to show her u care for her. Now if this girl Grace likes him back than he should ask her out. He should first find out from like a friend of hers if she likes him or not. If she does he needs to ask her out. If he loves and hates her he should go with the stronget feling and pick one or the other. Because u cant love and hate somebody at the same time.

Ben sounds very conflicted. Being conflicted is a common problem.
Ben needs to remember is being in love is about how you feel about yourself when you are with that person.
He needs to try to cut her loose. He needs to work on this. I know he is too attached to just do it easy. But he should give it a good effort.

Tell him to move on and not bother with her maybe she will wake up and see wat she is missing out on
