We're both 18, I'm about a month older than him, we talk every night either on the phone or msn, and he knows I tell him things which no one else knows, but he never confides in me, and I think I make it very obviouse to him that I like him, but still nothing, what to do?

Trust me. As a guy who is not that open, sometimes guys want the woman to make the first move or give a CLEAR sign that he is not facing possible rejection.

Start getting a little touchy, but in a subtle way. Touch him on the arm when you're talking to him, hit him in a playful manner... stuff like that. Some dudes are shy and would prefer to never assume they won't be rejected when persuing a girl, so it may take him a while to warm up. You should get some indication from this. If he's not interested in you, he may not respond at all to the touching or seem uncomfortable. If he is interested, he'll like the touching, and may even try some tricks to elicit some more of the subtle caress.

Move on. You're 18...you have the world in front of you with millions of fish in the sea. I'm sure it's painful to think he's not into you, but why make yourself crazy? Enjoy your friendship with him and try to meet someone who really IS into you and treats you like a princess!

You should let him know. If things aren't the way you want it then someday you can think back and laugh about it. He may be shy or something. You won't know unless you give it a try.

Maybe he has a hard time trusting people.
Over time, he will probably confide more in you, once he realizes you really care for him and want him to share his thoughts with you.
If it's really bothering you, talk to him about it and tell him you'd like him to open up more.

casually invite him somewhere, is he says yes, he probably wants to get to know you. If he refuses, you'll be able to move on, plus he won,t know you had a crush on him 'cause you could only be inviting him as a friend.

Just tell him that you love him.
Maybe he does not want to act like he is your boyfriend because you have not tell him that you love him.
It could be posible that he is waiting for you to tell him what you feel.
