as many religions( greek mythology, norse mythology, roman mythology, egyptian mythology etc) already got the name of "mythology" when do you think that christianity, judaism and islam will get that name too?... come on nothing is everlasting...

Come on you never know... think of the possibilities. If you are right new mythology is born, if you are wrong, you will not have a new mythology. You will have fact on faith. So when will it happen? What does it matter you will not be alive.

It's a modern hangup to think that "myth" means "lie". A "myth" is simply the allegory that a person uses to inform their thoughts and actions, a sort of psychic filter to sort and classify experiences. All supernatural stories are "myths" essentially, interpretations of the world in iconic terms. But commonly, the term is applied to any such concept that has lost all of its adherents.

It is hard to gauge because that will only start to happen when 1 - a newer, 'better' religion comes to take it's place or 2. when the majority of people just stop believing. How long that could take is anyone's guess...

i once saw a list of all the historical figures who had claimed the end of Christianity was just around the corner. needless to say the list was very very long, and almost continuous from the time of Christ.

ironically enough, all of them are dead, and Christianity is still here. weird.

They are too relentless to allow that to happen. Unfortunately the Pagan religions were pushed aside because of their flexibility.

.After we annihilate ourselves in a nuclear war .Then whoever is left will have to start from scratch .Then we will go back to worshipping the sun , a rock ,the sea ,the air and thunder .

then they too will be in the relms of the myth too
