Oh, and I would just like to clarify that I am not just talking about atheists asking Christians how they know their beliefs are true. It can work in all ways.

Haven't actually asked on Yahoo Answers, but no, no one I've ever asked that has had a straight answer. "Because God says so" is not what I'd consider a straight answer, by the way.

Absolute Truth is that which is always the same no matter what circumstances change it remains constant and eternally the same. With that in mind is there such a thing as "absolute truth"? And can we know it, when we see it? First one may say no there is no way to know, this is contradiction, for to say such then that makes that answer the absolute truth in and of itself. Thus, absolute truth exists because it must exist in some form. No matter how you view things this is truth. For falsehoods abound exposing themselves as falsehoods when exposed to the truth. Yet if there was no falsehoods, then there can be no truth to expose them, thus the falsehoods would be the truth. Truth, exists, because basic principles apply universally, not just theoretically. For example mathematics! Though mathematics is not the only pure truth or absolutes, it just shows that they are there to be found. Thus if they exist, as they do, then they also must be constantly self revealing and eternally. If they did not then by that very nature would so show them that they were not "absolutes". Thus they are self-revealing in nature, in power, in portion, all around us. That ignoring them, does not make them go away or become nothing, for it only harms those who deny them. Thus there is a recompense system that when they are obeyed they produce truth showing light upon the "truth" and when they are disobeyed they produce error and ignorance and darkness to those who continue to practice such errors. Absolute Truth thus shows forth that there is an Almighty, Omniscient, All Sufficient, Omnipresent God who is "Absolute Truth" in all things.

Well, just for kicks... is gravity absolutely true? How about the world being round? How about what you had for breakfast (I had raisin bran)?

There IS such a thing as absolute truth and some things are absolutely right, absolutely wrong, absolutely exist... and whether we believe in them or not has no bearing on their truth.

How do you know you are in pain, in love, tired, hungry?

You feel it.

That is how we know there is a God. The details of my beliefs even I question sometimes, but the one answer in my heart outweighs the questions. I'm sorry but that is as straight forward as I can be, I only hope it helps.

I am absolutely sure about Jesus, because He transformed my life when I put my faith in Him. Sometimes you have to believe before you can see.

No, never. Usually not even a reply. Or more of the same circular logic.
