I am doing dog for a 4-H project this year
What would be a good goal?

There are so many possibilities.
Here are a few:
Train or help train assistance dogs - Try Canine Companions for Indpendence for instance
Train or help train search and rescue dogs - Contact National Association of Search and Rescue or FEMA.
Design and build a kennel that maximizes health and environmental enrichment of young pups

One great project might be to look into clicker training. If you need to do a presentation, you could make a nice standee board with pretty charts about clicker training (and "operant conditioning"). And for demo to the project, you could teach your dog a whole series of tricks using clicker. What's cool about clicker training is that it makes training into a fun game rather than a chore, and once your dog has learned one or two things using the clicker, new tricks become faster and faster for them to pick up to the point where they could almost learn something new every day, and that impresses the heck out of people.

It does instruct you alot of life skills and can truly pay off interior the destiny. issues like that look mind-blowing on college purposes, and can truly help you get scholarships. stay in it till you graduate severe college. stable success!

4 H must have made changed since my kids were in it, they trained and showed their dogs at the township, county, and state levels. What else are you suppose to do for your dog project?
The training and showing was all they were required to do for dogs.
