On Saturday at a xmas party i met a girl named Lucy. I am a shy guy but was immediately attracted to her from the get go. I was sitting up the table from her and she would every so often turn around and glance over, hold a smile for afew seconds and then turn back around. I smiled back. I then went over to introduce myself and she seemed happy that i had started chatting with her. She was facing me with her body and was looking into my eyes as she spoke. She went to the toilet and whilst she was gone another of her colleagues started to chat with me and we got on also. When the girl i liked came back a friend of mine noticed that she gave the girl i was talking to a kind of look that i believe girls give to other girls when they see them chatting to someone they like? Is this true? do you think she liked me from this? There is another guy who likes her also and has known her afew more months longer. I believe he has started letting his feelings known to her. Does this girl like me?

Bite the bullet. Ask her out. You may be pleasantly surprised. From what you say I would say that she was definitely interested in you. Women are strange creatures and obviously not all of us are the same. Some women like the attention men give them, but when the man asks them out or tells them they like them they feel flattered, but don't want to take it any further. Some women can be just as shy as men. Go for it, ask her out. If the other guy gets in first and she starts going out with him, you'll really regret not asking her first. Best of luck.

Girl's body language and expressions are complicated. It is hard to know whether she likes you, was just enjoying talking to you, or was trying to make someone else jealous. Best thing to do is be straight-forward.

Ask her to meet you for a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop. If she accepts, ask her out over that cup of coffee.
