So im gonna start babysitting for my moms friends kids and I want to know how much to charge. She has 3 kids a 5 year old girl, a 3 year old girl and a 1.5 year old boy. I live in Dekalb ,Illinois so its a smaller town. I would be watching them from about 6-10 once a week at my house. And then starting in March from 6-9:30 two times a week at my house and she said she would send them with snacks and things. Plus we have to stay inside because her little boy has asthma and its bad in the winter. So how much do you think I should charge? And what kind of games should I play?

I charge $5 an hour, but add and extra dollar per hour for each additional kid.

So when I babysit three, I charge $8 an hour.

$2.50 For the first child and then a $1.00 for each one after that. I am a full time babysitter and I pay all my bills and Extra summer events on that....but I watch more children then 3 and more like 40 or more hours a week.

It all up to you to decide tho. Sit down a talk to the mother of these children on how much she will be paying you and what day of the week you will get paid. IT seems to me like she will be giving you $15-$20 a day right now.....maybe more if she make alot of money....

Hi there.

I babysit in central Ohio for several families.

Those families that have three children pay me between 12 and 16 dollars per hour. Those families who have younger children or children who are not potty trained pay in the 16 dollar range.

$12 - $16 dollars, food, and a tip is pretty much standard. Occasionally, families pay for gas as well.

Hope this helps.

I'd charge at least $5 per hour. That's less than $2/hour/kid. A bargain for the person paying you and you don't price yourself out of the babysitting market.

In Littlle Rock, alot kids get paid $5 for one kid. But at least you'll be at your home and can help from your mom.

Keep them busy with coloring and easy craft stuff with construction paper (be sure to use safety scissors). paper dolls and 'house' and dolls would be fun too for the older girl. She can be your official 'helper'.

Well me and my friends have a baby sitting business and we
charge $5 dollars a hour for each child but you might choose differently but I say the younger they are the more you should charge because the young ones are hard to deal with so that is how we do it hope I helped!

$7.50/hour. purely placed 'em to mattress early ;). It relies upon on the babies rather, yet i might say $7.50 consistent with hour is a very good stability between the worry of looking after 3 youthful youngsters and not being ridiculously costly (bear in mind you prefer them to apply you returned!) maximum people who use a babysitter around as much as the hour and pass away some snacks for you so it works out properly ^_^ take some stuff with you to do on the same time as you're there.

$3 an hour per child is fair. So, $9 per hour. Those kids are young and going to be alot of work.

I would say five bucks every hour for every kid, so that would be fifteen bucks every hour.

As for the kids, it depends what sort of games they like. Maybe if they like dolls, or something, or house. It depends what they want to play. If I were you I would ask the five year old what she wanted to play, and if she just said "I dunno" then say something like "What about dolls".

i would not set the amount, let the parent of the kids pay you what she feels is appropriate. the reason for this is more than likely she will pay you more than what you would ask for beings that she is a friend of your mothers.if she ask what you want tell her that she should pay what she feels is good. trust me!!!
