just to be on the safe side I would explain to the child that it is not appropriate to be on the myspace page and that you could still interact as a youth group leader but the relationship has to remain in that arena only

If you are a leader in a youth group, then I assume you are a fine, upstanding, moral citizen that has nothing to hide, so what is it hurting. If you are a closet freak but are revealing this on myspace, then you might should not be a leader in a youth group anyway and should rethink your position. I would keep conversations pristine and you have nothing to worry about.

There is no reason to quit just because it is MySpace, but remember you are the leader. Anything done in that space now has your name - and authority - attached to it. If it were me, I would only stay on if I planned to monitor the site every day and take responsibility for whatever was on it.

Please add a longer detail. It is not perfectly clear what you are saying/asking.

Are you saying a child created a MySpace account FOR YOU?

Or are you saying you are already a MyScape Member and someone you know as a child in reality is asking to be your friend on MySpace?

my place in not a place for kids, i found my twelve year old sister on their. she was talking to a 35 year old man, who wanted her phone number. as a leader, tell them my space is not for children and i think children should not be allowed on the internet unsupervised. there are parental blocks.
