I saw a title in the newspaper one day for a dj. Part of the title was my name followed by '...the funky 1'. There you have the first part. The second part came from a line by George Clinton. It was something about dropping a 'funk bomb' Now you have the second part. They're sort of morphed together. Good question, by the way.

My name was chosen because it was my nickname through school. Our last name was Donahue and my brother's friends called him Phil and so later in life I became little phil even though I am a girl!!! That's ok, I still answer to it more than I do my real name!!!

This is weird, but I just felt like naming myself after a body of water in a different language. "Rio Madeira" means "Wood River" in Spanish, and is the name of a river in brazil.

once I worked at a close-by food market on the night inventory group to pay for college, the adult men on the group felt this nickname truly in high quality condition me. no person has used the nickname previously or when you consider that (tilY/A!). LoL!
