we've been going out for a lil more than a year but she deserves way better than me and shes doesn't seem the happiest she could be with me what should i do or how should i do it.?

Sorry but I'm confused. You state that you love her but you want to dump her? So does this mean that the only reason you want to break up is because you don't think she is happy?
Here is my suggestion... why don't you first ask her if she is happy in your relationship and see how she feels. She may tell you that shes incredibly happy. Ask her if she wants to stay in a relationship with you. If you don't ask her these things you'll never know and you may just be assuming these things.
If you have already decided you are going to break up with her, or decide to break up once she says shes not happy..... then I would avoid using lines such as "its not you its me" or "we can still be friends." Those lines are overused, overrated, and a girl sees through it by now. I recommend you tell her how your feeling - tell her you still love her but that you are concerned that she isn't happy and tell her you'd like to end things with eachother but you still will care for her....
goodluck - just don't make any fast judgements until you talk to her and feel out what shes thinking

Calm down! Your fear is getting the better of you. Subconsciously you're afraid she is going to dump you - and you'd rather get in first, because it won't hurt so much.
Now, that would be dumb, wouldn't it? If you dump her, you'll lose her and you'll be heartbroken. If she dumps you, the same will happen plus your ego will be a bit bruised. BUT if YOU do the dumping, you can guarantee the outcome. If you wait for HER to do the dumping, it may never happen. So isn't it better to wait?
Talk to her. A good relationship is all about communication. Tell her that you don't feel that you're good enough for her. She'll be flattered and touched, and you may be surprised by what she says. Ask her if there is anything more you can do to make her happy. Apologise if you've been overprotective. Communicate, communicate, communicate!

personally, i would drop hints. just see if she really isn't as happy as you think she should. if she isn't then you know it's time to dump her (and i don't mean that in a bad way).
If you do decide to dump her make sure u do it in person. a girl will hold a grudge more if you dump her over the phone or online than if you do it in person. and when you do it be real suttle about it. be really sensitive. tell her that you love her very much but you just don't think you are good enough for her. tell her that you want her to be so much happier.

If you love her, do not leave her. Do not make things worse for both of you because you think she deserves better. Talk to her about your insecurities...if she thinks she is happy with you, then let it be. If she tells you she is not happy and you are not happy then maybe it is time for you to end the relationship. Please talk to her first before you make a decision.
