How does a person from India or a 3rd world country get to America? Average income in India is $600, so how do they afford the plane tickets? Do they come from wealthy families?

They save for a long time. There is a lot of "old money" floating around countries like that. They often inherit quite a bit of money. And they save until they can come here. Then they become citizens and get jobs, make lots of money, and send as much as they can to their families so they can come too

There's been a number in shipping crates comming from China. Some get to Mexico and come over. Some have family members pitch in for a ticket and they overstay their visa.

First of all, third world country is nowadays considered an offensive term, so please switch to developing country. Secondly, they don't pay the debt in India, they get credit and pay it AFTER they have been working in the U.S. for a time.

Just because is a third world country doesn't mean that "ALL THIEIR POPULATION" are poor...there are a few ones who are obviously rich.
Are all americans in the U.S. rich?? No...and remember that United States is a FIRST WORLD COUNTRY..

Yes, with the exception of those from latin american countries, only very wealthy immigrants come into the US.
Obviously, we are talking about LEGAL immigrants.
