It is, but many people fail to grasp what the meaning of Religion and Spirituality means.
Also, people from all groups of people try to offend Christians, then they go back saying that the Christians don't follow the part of the Bible where it says that you should turn the other cheek.
Yes, some Christians do offend others, and the others forget about reality: There is no mental connection between Christians, so when someone insults me, for example, when getting back at someone else, the insulter does not insult the person they are trying to insult. Besides, they have their own beliefs. If they want to voice their beliefs, then go out in the streets and voice their beliefs there, not here, where many new Christians are trying to grow.

What does it take to make some people bash christians? Nothing more than their presence.
I could use any number of analogies but I don't think any are needed.
Some people are inherently offended by others who are different in some way and happy about it. These people are typically of a certain political persuasion that won the last election... but not all.

Kinda like that when I got here a few months back.
A couple of harsh responders, who delight in consigning people to hell, are no doubt Christian bashers themselves. I have also seen one or two responders who, claim to be, but are very likely not committed to Islam. There could be any number of false presenters here.
A lot of the so-called atheists seem unbending religious zealots over what they deem to be infallible science (kind of like having your own Pope in a test tube) -- and then there is your mother-in-law!
The key is to be very selective as talk about religion (also politics and sex) has always proved of limited value, even at cocktail parties.

I agree but I also say good luck, their are too many "atheists" on here who think they are soooo smart and soooo enlightened about the big scam that is called Christianity. They make it their life's work to bash and belittle anyone who believes in something. I guess they have nothing better to do with their huge brains than think of ridiculous "questions" in order to offend Christians.

I don’t think anyone wants to condemn a persons belief system to hurt them personally, unless they are entirely ignorant and/or just a jerk and then you should ignore them anyway. However, I think it is very possible to take it that way and maybe people shouldn’t. I may be viewed as anti-Christian because I think it is a personal and private matter between you and your God or concept of God. And I think people overuse it to define themselves.
The ownership of a deity, or the justification of being superior because of a persons belief system and using that to judge others or to free oneself from the difficult task of learning to think for ones own self is irresponsible and lazy. In this country the most popular religious cult is Christianity and so it gets the brunt of attacks. Any belief system that claims superiority and exclusivity and many of them do, will always have opposition from people who do not think that way. All we are talking about is choosing to believe in an idea, that’s all so I don’t think it is healthy for anyone to take offense to it. I think it reflects the danger of a belief system when people feel they need to either defend or attack, or they take the discussing of those ideas as personal attacks.
A person should be comfortable in their own belief system to be open to listen to different idea whether they agree with them or not and not be afraid to change their mind if they so choose.
I was raised Christian and I do not have horrible story about it nor am I angry. I just found that as I grew up my belief system changed. I know many Christians, and have many family members who are actually ministers. Some I think are brilliant people with wonderful faith but they also have a reasonable mind and are understanding of other beliefs. Others I know are close-minded, judgmental and fearful hypocrites who are not reasonable and condemn others based on this one criteria.
On a grand scale I think religion is dangerous, especially when it comes to the forefront of politics and culture. I think it is beautiful when it is something that is cultivated for the betterment of oneself. And when connects a person to the idea of a God that is accepting and loving of all creatures.

Because the truth is being spoken, we are telling the gospel to people and Satan doesn't like it. Put on the full armour of God Ephesians 6:10-18. Remember we wrestle not against flesh and blood. God Bless

It happens frequently. Particularly at this time of day. Sometimes it gets the best of me and I let them provoke me but I am learning to ignore those questions. This is a bad evening. There are honest, thought provoking, heartfelt questions here(sometimes you just have to look really hard) God Bless.
