i dont reject the idea of a god existing, merely we have no proof either way,
and that is thee difference between hardcore atheists and agnostics
you cant disprove, so how can you be sure?
and before I get the thumbs down, think about it....there IS nothing to test, I'll give you that, however, what started it all?
If you can answer that, then i'll follow your philosphy!
if you can't then I'll remain open minded

a million. i do not comprehend if it diminishes the fee of religion or not. in my opinion, i imagine faith has little fee with techniques from itself. 2. All beliefs, to an volume, include faith. as an social gathering, human being who makes use of common sense to ensure fact has faith interior the unprovable axioms of the logical gadget they use. If the in elementary words requirement of a faith replaced right into a conception in accordance to faith, such issues as common sense and geometry ought to favor to be considered religions. the point of the unique declare (atheists have self belief) is faulty. this is an attempt to assert that atheists base their conception that God does not exist only on faith, because their declare is "unprovable." mostly, they don't realize the conception of incremental affirmation. If each and each and every examined piece of knowledge incrementally confirms the conception that God doesn't exist, and none of them incrementally make sure the conception that God does exist, then that is justified (although unprovable) to declare that God doesn't exist. it is analogous to switching on a gentle. each and each and every time I turn the change, the gentle activates. i'm justified from this in believing that the subsequent time I turn the change the gentle will activate back, even although i am going to't "tutor" it without flipping the change.

I'm an Atheist, because I don't believe in any god(s).
The issues some Christians have are, just give me reasons to roll my eyes.
But organised religion that leads ppl around and/or brainwashes them is disgusting to me. --(Controlling the masses)
Church tells em' we're (Atheists) all evil sinners/or something, when in real life we are no better/no worse than any of them. --(hypocritical)
Most Christians don't know much about their own religious history Christmas, easter, etc. How they were pagan hoildays, before the Christians changed them in efforts to convert them (pagans). Now they just trust the church and let details slip away--(Blind sheep)

Being without belief in the existence of deities causes atheism.
Please read this "coming out as an atheist" story. It's brilliant, funny and very well written.

You would have to subscribe to atheism in order to believe atheism.
You would have to subscribe to God in order to believe in God.
Believing or, not believing in something, unless it can be scientifically proved works both ways... I would think.
If you research and discover that their is no proof, you can stand on you belief. If you didn't, your question has no merit.
Reading someone else's version, concluding on it alone, is similar to a virgin terrorist that needs to kill infidels. basing it on the Koran only, and having the ability to finally be with, not one but, 72 virgins!

No, they reject God because there's no logical reason to believe in one. The "hypocrisy of religion" doesn't help but that's not the main reason.

oliverc - 'no one knows for sure'? Why don't you just ask an atheist? Here, I'll tell you. I don't believe in god because there's no evidence. There. That's it. Easy, wasn't it?

How about their own hypocrisy and vanity? I think it's more vain and hypocritical to say that others are vain and hypocritical without looking at ourselves.

Well for me it's not more complex... I was born and raised who I am. I was not raised to believe that gods are real, and for that it's no more real to me then Santa is to Jewish raised kids.
