In 1982, the constitution was amended to allow Chinese people considerable freedom of religion. Buddhist, Taoism Muslims, Christians belief all exist Buddhism today continues as an important force in some parts of the country. The extent of its influence is unclear, but it remains a key component in village religion. Temples and monasteries are reopening in many places and new monks and nuns are in training. Almost all Chinese Muslims are Sunni, but there has been considerable influence by Sufi brotherhoods in the past 200 years. Today there are probably around 10 million Christians in China.

All I know is many of them are Godless people. I am sure they believe in Zen type things...not sure exactly but I do know that in China the bible is not allowed- and many turn away from the truth of God, do not want it- that is why we have missionaries over there, sharing the gospel, but quietly doing this...so as not to be taken captive or anything...and God is with them! Praise God for that! It just reminds me of how thankful I need to be that here in the U.S we have the freedom to worship God!
