Babies usually get bad gas, especially when they are newborns. Buy some Gripe Water at the pharmacy (very inexpensive). Give it to the baby and this should definately help. If you are breastfeeding, you might be eating something that is causing your baby to have gas.
Good Luck!

i'm going through the same thing right now! i have a six week old that is majorly gassy too. i found a website my doctor recommended called coliccalm.com, so i bought some and what a difference! it starts working a couple minutes after i give it to her, and she's smiling and cooing! it's kinda expensive, but well worth it!!!

My son was really constipated at 3 months old and his gas was TERRIBLE. The culprit was his formula. More specifically he couldn't handle the iron content. It was a paediatrician who asked me if his formula was iron-fortified. He also said that to help with the backup, I should replace just one of his feeds for the day with a bottle of sterile water (cooled down or just warm) with half a teaspoon of brown sugar in it. The brown sugar is unrefined, like brown rice or bran and acts the same way in the bowel as it draws water to itself and helps to loosen the compacted stools and send them on their way.
My son had relief within 1 day.
Best of luck!

Burp her during feeding, and go to the pharmacy and get some gripe water. That will help her.
Walk around with her in your arms, the bouncing will help dislogde the gas, they don't call it pacing the floor boards for nothing!

its called colic.

She might be allergic to her formula, either the milk base or just the brand. If you're nursing you might be eating or drinking something thats effecting your milk and giving her gas.

Keeping her calm, giving her gas drops, laying her on your lap and gently rubbing her back, caring her with her face on your hand, and her body along your arm, against your belly, allows for her bowels to move and release the air as well.

The more calm you are at all times, the calmer she will be.

If it persists, ask your doctor.

There is a liquid medicine called Milacon, but I'm not sure if that's the right spelling. It is in a dropper, and it works GREAT. There might be other things, too, but this medicine is very good.

Try a little water and/or watered down apple juice. Sounds like she is a little backed up and needs some help. If you're okay with it, I'd also suggest an enema.

Did you try Mylicon drops, or putting her on her stomach over your lap and "burping" her. Also, try laying her on her back and pumping her legs in and out. These things work for my 4 month old.
