No, I get over people easily. But of course, it's never going to be the same again.

I've never prayed for someone's death who was hurting me emotionally, but I did pray for my mom to pass away when she was dying of a brain tumor/cancer. She was slowly dying and taking a breath about every 20 or 30 seconds and wouldn't let go, and I finally prayed for God to take her so she didn't suffer.
I agree with the others that you should pray that God would either take them away from your life or pray that they will stop emotionally hurting you. But, not that they should die.

I don't think that we should pray for death. I think that we should pray that God's will will be done. The final decision is up to God and he is the one that knows best. And I have prayed this way before and the person did not die. She got better - still in pain sometimes, but not in the same situation.

I might pray for forgiveness for them,if you have a struggle with a person it can cause such unforgiveness towards them you may feel you want them dead. That's very human, that's why people are murdered all the time.If someone is harming you emotionally get far away from them.I do not know your circumstances, but if its a marriage and you have children there are many agencies available.check your phone book.God does not want us to be abused. This is just a thought, but I do know the feeling.Be blessed and loved

No. I haven't prayed such a thing for anyone ever since I came to know Jesus and began understanding a little more about what's going on with the whole death thing.
I don't think it's necessary to assist death in doing what it does or even in speeding it up in doing what it does.
EDIT: As to whether or not I prayed for such a thing before I knew Jesus, I have no clue. If I did, I don't remember it.

Yes and the guy died. I'm not kidding. It was awful.
When I was young there was a much older Kid who liked to beat me up and push me around when ever he got the chance.
I wished fervently that he would get his. I got a letter telling me that he had joined the army and a mortar had fallen right on his tent while he was sleeping.
It actually made me cry to think about his family and how they must have felt. I never really believed that I had anything to do with his death but I was ashamed that I had ever wished that he would die.
It was a good lesson to me and I never did anything like that again.
Love and blessings Don

A friend told me old King David, who was one of God's favored ones, used to pray for the destruction of his enemies... ergo, I could too. But to me, the breaker comes in the fact that that was in the eye-for-an-eye Old Testament. --More useful as history than as doctrine for practicing Christians.
I have not done that. I have focused on praying for deliverance from trying situations.

I doubt if someone prayed for death, they would get it. We don't decided when we die, or who dies, God does. There are those that wish death upon someone, and go out and act on it, but that's something else entirely.

That's really morbid and unhealthy. Try praying for them to stop emotionally hurting you. Tried that one?

The hate was consuming me.
I prayed that God heal my hurt and anger. He heard me. That healing took place New Years 1976. Never looked back.
