Hello: No offense taken. The answer to your question depends where you come from. If you are Hispanic it is perfectly ok. (It is also ok to name your son Emmanuel and Salvador, which means Savior, refering, of course, to Jesus. De Jesús , which means belonging to Jesus, is also used as a middle name and last name.)
If your heritage is Anglo-Saxon it is considered improper. The idea behind it is that there has been only one Jesus. I know of a Puerto Rican man whose name was Jesús. He moved to New York to work at a hospital and the nuns that ran the hospital changed his name to Jesse.

I don't see why this would be a problem. When you name your child after someone, it is supposed to be a sign of respect and love. Who, as a Christian, should you love and respect more than anyone? Jesus. But, then again, I'm not Christian, so I only know how I feel about it, not how they do! :)

I'm not Christian but I don't see why it would be a problem. There are plenty of Mexicans with the name Jesus and I believe Catholic or Christianity are like the major religion there in Mexico...

What's wrong with that? If a white person named their son Jesus, that might be weird, but who cares? It's like naming your child after any other famous great person. Hispanic people whose names are spelled like Jesus are actually pronounced like Hesus. Is that what you're getting at?

I am totally against it. I mean it doesn't bother me when Spanish people do that because they say it in Spanish ( I know it doesn't make sense, it made sense in my head though) Neways, other Americans doing that kind of bothers me calling their child in English Jesus because I believe that it is very disrespectful to Jesus, Because there is only ONE Jesus!!!!

None taken.
Latin Americans do it all the time - you think Jesus is a different name from Jesus? (geeze us vs hey seuss).
No problem - it's a name, like any other.

I wouldn't see why a Christian would be offended by that. A popular name for Muslims is "Muhammad," a very important figure in Islam, just as Christ is important in Christianity.

Lots of names are taken from the bible. If someone said "I'm Jesus, nice to meet you" I'd probably say "REALLY? Wow. Nice to meet you to." And life would go on.
