I keep reading answers that start or finish with, "I will never this or that!"

There is no such thing as "Never." I can think of too many times in my life where I have said I would never do something and end up doing it anyway. "Never", is an abosolute statement! Life and death are the most common abosolutes in the world, you can pretty much cut the deck after that.

My question I guess is, what do you think about "Never" and how so many use it in vain. People abuse it probrably more then they abuse the use of the word, "Love."

My DH had a magnet that stated, "All generalizations are false". I think people use those words because they don't really consider what they say before they speak. And now, people type and send before they think.

I still find myself saying never from time to time but I realize that I shouldn't say it. Over the past years I have wound up in situations I thought I would never wind up in and did things I thought I would never do. Made me realize that when life happens things change and your nevers change with them. We all think we wouldn't do something until we are faced with it and we all find it hard to understand why someone would do something until we are in the same situation ourselves.

I would guess that people use the word ''never'' because the day their English teacher taught them the word ''seldom'' they were too busy on their cell phones or some other equally important matter and missed it.
