Last night about 4 am I had a nightmare where I was in a room and I read the words "god has fallen" on a table, and some bird being strangled next to it! Woke my **** up like you would not believe, and I dont even believe in god! I could understand if it was the usual, being chased or falling nightmare. I'd put it down to eating strange foods before bed!
But religious references in my nightmares are new to me!
What in the world do you think that means?

Few more details - I wasn't reading R+S or eating before bed, and "bird" means woman in our UK slang, that's why it shook me up so much. Old broken table, writing on a slant, middle aged woman, black hair, no reference to anything or anybody I've seen in the last few months!

I just read in the book of Leviticus( Leviticus1:14-17) that the people would take a dove or pigeon to the priest and wring its neck and offer it as an offering to God. This pleased God, because all the sacrifices in the OT represent the coming of the Messiah. He would take the sins of the world and be a sacrifice, once and for all. Perhaps God is telling you something, ask Him. If you are not familiar with this book and most aren't. It can be a bit confusing and a bit gory. Just remember it is all a foreshadowing of the coming of Jesus. Guess who want to come to your house? The only god that fell and he was not really a god , he was an angel, Satan, however if you don't believe in God, then by choice or default Satan becomes your god. Perhaps it is he who fell from your life, by the sacrifice of Christ. Don't be afraid of Jesus He is a wonderful Savior who loves you. .

dreaming about someone being strangled on a table means there is something you are repressing or denying but it`s something that needs bringing out into the open to avoid conflict.
Was God has fallen written on the table ?

Dreaming of a dying bird means disappointments. How that is connected to the "god has fallen", I don't know. Kind of sounds like stuff you've been thinking about. Maybe not constantly, but often enough that your subconscious is holding on to it.

Means nothing in real terms. Probably your memory dreaming an old film you have seen or your worried about the state of the world and your subconcious is giving you and answer.

I'd worry if it happened while I was awake otherwise I wouldn't think twice about it. I had a dream I ate the flesh off a man yet I am not a cannibal and would never do that to anyone - unless I was really hungry.

To dream of dead or dying birds, foretells a period of coming disappointments. You will find yourself worrying over problems that are constantly on your mind. God also symbolizes an untouchable, unreachable, and unattainable notion of perfection. Thus such a dream may highlight your struggles and attempts with trying to be perfect.

It means you are either gullible to suggestion or that you just want to read more into your life than is actually happeneing in your life at the minute.
When I say 'get a life' I dont mean it in a rude way..i just mean settle for what you have or look for real meaning in your life....but in your waking hours!
