I heard on TV or somewhere that you can't smoke so much pot that you will die because you will ultimately pass out before you get to that point thus enabling you to do so. Is that true? Who knows the answer?

It is true. Basically, for marijuana to be lethal, you would have to intake the equivalent of 600 simultaneous marijuana cigars (blunts). That's a lot!

Pot can't kill you, not really. You could get lung cancer if you smoked like a chimney for years, but it is less damaging to your lungs than cigarettes are. And I don't think it's really possible to smoke until you pass out. I've never known anyone to do it. Smoke until they got sleepy and went to bed, yes, but not smoke till they passed out.

You can OD on it if you take it as a suppository or ingest it too. That wont stop. Smoking no.
Oh I'm not talking about a lethal OD there by the way.

yes, I can't remember the study but if i find it I will link it.
It works like this. The body can only handle a very small % of alcohol in the blood stream and if you surpass it, you can die of alcohol poisoning. but the body can handle a MUCH MUCH higher level of thc content, something like 100x as much. The study found that in order to "overdose" and die of "thc poisoning", you would have to ingest TWICE YOUR BODY WEIGHT in marijuana...in one hour. (However the study makes no comment about the thc content of said marijuana)
