I was looking for booking rates and AirTransat is always really cheap compared to the other flights (by half or less in price). Does anyone know why this is? Thanks! Here is a page that I was searching...

They're not much cheaper (and sometimes more expensive) compared to Zoom, FlyGlobespan, Monarch, and MyTravel.

Since I have never heard of it, I assume they don't spend a lot of money on advertizing for one thing. Smaller companies often come into existance trying to get the business and charging less money. They all lose money in the end. Small companies, large companies. It is a scary business. It is also possible that the other flights are more popular and sold out of the lower pricing that you have with this airline.

You get what you pay for, they are a chartered airline, as apposed to West Jet and Air Can with regular service. Air Transat has been around for many years. They do a lot of business with all inclusive holidays to the carribean. Their parent compnay is transat and noli tours. They have never had a crash, but had one serious incident a few years ago, where a plane ran out of fuel. Pilot error.
