my friend and her bf have split up, this happens to be my bf best mate aswell, he told me he fancied me but i said nothing back and then he said he was joking. but i cant stop thinking about him even though i try not to, waht should i do? my friend is still hooked on him and my relationship with my bf is fine. when he said he was joking does that mean he doesn't like me?

No...its normal to have that kind of consideration for ur friends ex but you have to be very careful with the whole thing you have to decide between your friend or him....etc. Try and see what you really want and if its worth it otherwise you can try and squeeze urself into being with him and not hurting your friend otherwise....forget him...GOOD LuCK
