Ok, for starters, I'm 18 and a senior in high school. I went out with my friend and some of her friends last Friday because it was her birthday and it was something to do. Her best friend is really cool. She speaks her mind, she's really nice, funny, etc. (the whole nine yards) I got her myspace from my friend who's birthday it was. Since last Friday, we've been talking everyday messaging at least twice in each day. She is single, gorgeous, etc. A junior so not much of an age difference. We have the same interests and everything. We even met a few months ago at a class conference of ours. (she goes to a different school) Both of them are coming over on Sunday to watch movies at my house. We're gonna make a day of it with pizza, candy, etc. There is only one thing that I'm concerned about. She said she's a Satanist. Now I'm not really big on religious stuff but I do know that these people worship the devil. I'm perfectly fine (I'm an atheist) with it. What do you all think of this?

Should I try and go out with her or just leave it alone? Not many people like the idea of her being a Satanist but it doesn't really bother me. Would you all try to start something worth while?

The way I see it (even though you're young) try to picture. Could I spend years with this girl? Is she someone who'd be a good mother. Do you want your kids being raised as Satanists?
I know know enough of what it is to be a satanist and I don't even care to look into it to be honest. But chances are maybe she's not even totally into it, since she's a junior and all, maybe she said it as a joke? Does her myspace account say 'satanist' under religion? Cause I know some people who put 'Divorced' under status even though they've never been married.
Ask her about it maybe?

The real question here is "do YOU love her?" Because if you really love someone, it won't matter the religion, the looks, the everything. You have to stop thinking about what other people think about her. You love her, so it only matters what you think about her. Love has no boundries. No matter the age the religion, even the diatance between you. As krony as it sounds, you just have to follow your heart, and you always come out on top. Because you'll know you did the best you could to get the one thing your heart truly desired. A person for you to love and hold for the rest of your life. Good Luck!

Well since you are atheist and u dont belive in God or devil , u have nothin to worry about so i did say go out with she might not be a satanist maybe she said that as a joke or something..and anyway if she was it is the love or likeness 0.o. in dis case that counts right??

Well, three things
Either she is a Satanist in the sense that it's the "fashionable thing to be" right now. People's opinions change greatly as they age
or
She said it to create a bit of sensationalism about herself so others would find her intriguing, perhaps
or
She believes in Satanism. Have you had a look at the beliefs of Satanism? It probably is nothing like what you imagine, although it is more of a lifestyle pertaining to the "self". It's not my cup of tea, but Satanism is very misunderstood

NO NO NO!!!!!! There is a difference between atheism and satanism. You being an athiest do not believe in the existence, and her being a satanist worships the devil. 2 big differences, think about it before you wanna hook up with the devil. Seriously!!

If you like her then nothing else matters. If your worried about what others will think, don't, you're the one who likes her and the one who will potentially date her, so whats stopping you?
