The answer to your question depends on how old are you. If you are over the age of 18 then your father is being a bit selfish. He should allow you to flee the coup, go out in the worls and start making the naive mistakes all young adults make that will eventually make you a well rounded responsible adult.
If you are younger than 18, don't rush things; you'll have plenty time to get out there and be a grown up.

Every parent feels bad that their child is leaving the house, but don't let that make your decisions for you. Your parents gave you life so you could live it. If you are ready to move out then you should. Just make sure you still go and visit with your dad.

Regardless of your father's feelings eventually you're going to have to lkive a life seperate from his. Tell him that you'll move out but somewhere close at first so that you guys can still perhaps have dinner together a couple times a week or do family outings. But there is no need to put your life on hold to please someone else regardless of how much you love them. He'll get over it. I say go but keep your ties solid. At least you know you have a loving place to go back to if you need to.

Depends on how old you are. If you're 18 and still in college or in some way still young at heart, then he probably knows you still need a little time to grow up, and he's probably just trying to protect you. However, if you're 26, then he needs to understand that you are grown up and you need to practice your independence as an adult woman, and keeping you in the house is just prohibiting you from that.

Speaking from my own experience, (moved at 18) I wish I had stayed in my parents house longer. As long as you get along, it is an opportunity to save money that you would have spent on rent.

Your dad should know that you will have to move out some day. Move out. Experience the world.

Depends on your age and your level of independance. I moved out of my moms house at 19 and got my own apartment. I'm still in school and work full time. The reality of it is hard but I enjoy my independance.

You should stay if you love him really much, but if you think moving is the best choice move, but send letters to him that is what I did when I moved out.
