Possibly, depending on the severity.
Asthma in the last 3 years will get you shown the door.
Any conditions will be assessed at your medical during the recruiting process, and then you can take it from there.

Why don't you join the Navy instead? No sleeping in damp trenches - which plays hell with arthritis.

Well when you go to MEPS (military entry processing Station) and do your medical exam prior to being signed up they will ask you about conditions that you have and all that. The doctors then make reccomendations depending on what your condition is. Now here is what my advice is. If you really really want to be in the military then when you do this medical exam don't be nit picky about every little thing that bothers you. If you do that then the dr's will probably give you a no -go.
However you know what your hand condition is and if you don't think you could handle some of the things that will be happening to you then i suggest you don't join.

If you will stop overloading your blood stream with unusable food particles, by stopping eating white flour products and sweets especially and eat only whole natural foods for about a month your osteoarthritis will be cured. true. do this and you will be amazed. If you wont to join. dont tell them about your arthritis. Good Luck

Well when they ask you just be a little less than honest. The recruiters will tell you the same thing. It is up to you to let it stop you from joining.
