Dear Pope,
You have been given a "false gospel". Man has no choice in whether he goes to heaven or hell. The Lord is Sovereign and He determines who will be saved and who will not be. The fact of the matter is that ALL human beings have sinned. This is rebellion against God and the penalty for sin is eternal damnation (hell). However, the Lord in His great mercy and lovingkindness determined to save some of these rebels and make them His children. There is Absolutely NO ONE that deserves to be saved and we cannot "work" to earn heaven either. Many false gospels tell you that you can "accept" Jesus and have all your sins cleansed away, which simply is not true. In order for the Lord to save a person, He had to pay for all their sins. That meant that Christ had to endure the equivalent of spending eternity in hell to pay for that individuals sins. Then the Lord had to do a miracle in that person's life and give them a new resurrected soul because man is DEAD in sins and trespasses (Ephesians 2:1-3). When the Lord does this work (His work) we become a new creation and love the Lord more than anything. We read in John 14:15, 21, and 24 that if you love the Lord, you will keep His word. And you cannot keep His word unless you read His word-the Bible. So a person's attitude toward the Bible (God's word) is a test. Now read Psalms 119 and you will see the heart attitude of someone who is saved and loves the Lord. Remeber we cannot do any of this ourselves. The Lord, if He has chosen to save us, will give us this new heart and love. That is why a true believer always gives glory to the Lord because He does ALL the work in saving a person.
Many people quote John 3:16 and say that God loves the world. That is a lie. He does not love everyone because there are many people who are going to hell Remember the people of Noah's day? There were only 8 people saved from the flood waters. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? There were only 3 people saved from those cities. Take a look at Romans 9:13-33. The Lord tells us that Jacob He loved, but Esau He hated. Take a look at Psalms 5:5 and 11:5. There are many people on Y/A Religion who are sincere in what they believe. But they are sincerely wrong. You can choose your favorite ice cream or soda but you CANNOT choose God.

One part of this EQUATION you forgot.....IF Christ hadn't died on the cross and bore all the sins of the world the only choice you had was HELL. No animal sacrifice could save us eternally. Yes it is tru if you had lived before the Cross and obeyed God's Old Testament laws you could be saved. After Christ was born the way for the New Testament was being paved and now we can have eternal life in heaven or eternal torment with satan.
Also remember If the Old Law had not been taken away, we would still be required to follow ALL OF THE OLD TESTAMENT, which means sacrifices, holy feasts, purification rites, women would have to separate from men "once a month for 10 days and offer doves" The O.T was not perfect...CHRIST IS.
We should not question God. He is our heavenly Father and He knows what is best for His Children.
Follow God not man's doctrines Ephesians 4:13,14
And yes the choice is your to accept his precious gift or reject it.
Praise the Lord do not ridicule him.

It is a choice. Like when you were younger and you knew not to do something and you knew that if you did what you knew you were not supposed to do you would get punished right? Spanked, grounded, yelled at, and/or all 3. I mean we all have done that. Well, It's the same with God. If you want to go to Heaven you have to be saved and work for God. And than there is that other choice, Not following God and Going to Hell. When you were younger if you do something your not supposed to you knew the consequences and got spanked or grounded. Well, if you choose not to follow God, it's the same thing, you are basically grounded to Hell.

God is not generous. True generosity require certain factors be involved. One of which is this: to be truely generous, one gives without the expectation of being given something in return. If somebody does give someone something expecting that they will get something else in return, it's not generosity, it's a trade. God supposedly gave us all life, and in return he requires us to worship him (possibly to feed his ego). That is not generosity; it's a trade. Furthermore, it's a forced trade.
Think about this. You have two people, a devoted follower of god, and an athiest. The devoted god guy lives a good life without doing any damage to anyone else. The athiest on the other hand lives his life and gives more and helps more people than Mother Teresa. The athiest who helped tons of people still, apparently, deserves fire and brimstone for all eternity just because he never said, "Hey thanks god." That doesn't seem just to me. But hey, I guess that's god's way of giving a big f'you to anyone who doesn't believe he exists, whether they've heard of god or they've lived in a remote part of the world and were never exposed to the idea of a god. They still deserve hell.
And, by the way, to anyone who says, "Not following god is just how you go to hell. He doesn't send you there." If god is omnipotent, then he'd have the power to do anything. Including saving a completely good person who ended up in hell because of not believing in him. So really, god has the final say in whether someone goes to heaven or hell. And for good people, he should want them in heaven.

More like 'Is Heaven a choice?' You see, God gives each of us the choice to emulate Him, through His Son, meaning we are to look to The Son as our way to God. We make our choices as too our destination every minute of every day 24/7, That's right, even in our dreams. We may not want to go to hell, but the sad fact of the matter is that most of us are. Why? Because we love our sin/s more then we love God. So we convince ourselves that what we are doing is not so bad that it will keep us out of heaven, because God loves us and wants us to be with Him. Yes He does love us and Yes He does want us with Him, But He , like any good parent, is going to punish us for breaking His Law, and trampling upon His Sabbath, and for being liars and abominations, unless we get His forgiveness. You see, He has very high standards and if we do not measure up to those standards, then we do not go to heaven.

Well if you read the handbook on driver's education and know that you will go to Jail for DUI and possibly lose your license, yet you drink and drive anyway, you are choosing to possibly end up in jail. The same applies to religion. If you know there is the possibility of burning in Hell for denying Christ, yet you choose to do so anyway, you run the risk of going to Hell. Sounds fair enough to me...you make the choice don't you?

It is a choice and a fair choice. God wrote a Bible to tell us all about His plan for us, and what to do and not do. Its not His fault if we dont study it. Making the decision to go to Heaven is choice. Either we choose God and get to go to Heaven by loving Him and obeying Him or we dont. When we do, we get heaven as our reward and life forever with God. no more tears, no more pain, no sickness, no disease. paradise.
But, we all have equal opportunity to KNOW. Most know about the Bible. How many read it, study it, and really look for truth, not just what they want to hear.??? not a lot. So, when God lists what happens if we follow Him, we KNOW. When He says what will happen if we dont choose God, we know. SO, by not accepting God, WE ALONE made the decision for hell. There cant be ppl in heaven doing all the awful stuff they do here now, or it wouldnt be heaven. We would have all the same STUFF we have here, and ppl that are truly Gods would find it hell. God blesses us for loving Him and obeying Him. Why would a non Christian get blessed with Heaven.? How is that fair to those of us that did obey? God treats noone special as He loves us all the same. and again, if all the mean ugly vile ppl were in heaven, it wouldnt be heaven. SO by not choosing God, you leave Him no option. He must do something witht ppl that wont hear Him. and sin is so vile and leads to destruction right here on earth, and God wants us to see just how vile sin is. It leads to death and hell of eternal torment. But ppl are warned. Not like He never said a thing and just did it. So, if you dont want to burn in hell, better turn to Jesus now, and start studying His word and praying to Him and seeing just what He asks of His ppl. and remember God is so eager to forgive. Just ask. repent, turn fromthe wicked wins, and ask Jesus into your heart, and turn from sin, and you will not be in hell. Nothing in this life worth giving up God and heaven for. NOTHING. some think a littlle pleasure here is worth it all. But, its not. and noone on the way to hell will think that. Plus, God doesnt take anything away from us that is good. He takes away only things that hurt us, tho may seem pleasurable at first. Hear only Gods voice, and you will be fine.

All of the angelic and human creation were given that exact same choice from the beginning.
God is the creator, and God has that right, take it or leave it.
Either become one with God and be an eternal member of his royal household, or choose to exist in slavery under Satan, with only sin and death as your eternal reward.
Tough choice!

How is it not fair? If some one lives under your roof, they live by your rules. Are you one of those people that manipulate the well-fare system because you believe the world owes you a living? This is how it is. The rules apply to everyone. Either you do or you don't. The choice is yours.
And if you don't like it, go build your own heaven.

It's not much of a choice. I personally think it's a cheap way to get people to adhere to a religion; it doesn't do much for making people closer to God or spiritual in any way. We should love God and follow Christ's teachings even if we're certain we rot in the ground after death.
