Calzaghe must fight somewhere other than England for me to think that he is not overrated. McCallum held title at 175 so we know that he could fight at 168. MccCallum's experience and great body punching would carry the day for a 15 rd unanimous decision.

I think McCallum would whip Calzaghe,Calzaghe has always talked a good fight but he always seems to avoid the'superfight' with the only exception v Lacy who as it's turned out was really only a flash in the pan and not a proven 'great' fighter like say a Mike McCallum who has gone down as a true great, fighting guy's like Toney,Jackson,Curry and the rest I cant think of off the top of my head but seriously McCallum is a far superior ringman than Calzaghe,u think Calzaghe would have given the young James Toney the problems McCaullum did!Not in Joe's favorite dreams.

McCallum was an underrated fighter in my opinion. He was a very good fighter who fought some good fighters. Calzaghe's main claim to fame is his excellent win over Jeff Lacy who i always though was a bit overrated. I'm not saying Calzaghe isn't a good fighter because he is, but i need to see a little more of him against better opponents. I like McCallum in this fight. I see it as a good, tough fight but McCallum's body attack and accurate counter punching would be the difference in this fight. McCallum by a 12 round decision in a pretty good scrap.

Very good and entertaining fight sir! I believe this would be a very close fight with both fighters landing some very effective punches throughout and some tense moments for both fighters throughout the bout. McCallum would land some of his devastating body shots and win a very narrow decision in this fight.
