My grandmother used to have a wad of fake hair in the shape of a bun inside a hairnet. She would pin that to the back of her head and wrap her own hair around it concealinig it. It made her bun look full and thick.

You could buy a hair piece and attach it to your hair, or you can by a hair doughnut- it is a foam doughnut shape thing, can be bought at hairdressing supply stores, you put your hair in a pony tail, pull your hair through the doughnut then wrap the hair around the doughnut, attaching it with kirby grips or hair pins. the doughnut is very easy to use and will give you a perfect full bun shape.

cut the toes off a CLEAN sock and roll it up to a donut looking thing. make a ponytail in your hair and put the sock at the base where it is at your head. pull your hair around the sock to cover it completely. use a large cloth scrunchie and you have a nice fat bun

u can try to blow dry your hair (upside down) so it gets poofier. put some volumizer in ur hair as well. worst comes to worst u can purchase a scrunchie that Looks like hair, they have them in different colors. u put it Around your (thin) bun, and it will look like a big ol' bun! :) good luck~

Buy a clip on hair, or use this:

I have one and it's really easy to use... it's called "hairagami"... it's like a big stick that bends. You pull your hair to the end and then roll it up. The hairagami itself adds what looks like to be volume. Check it out.

Buy the hairigami! Remember that corny infomercial? Well I bought one in CVS and it is AWESOME for precisely that reason. It bulks up your bun : ) Definetley try it. If you cant find it in your drugstore, hit up ebay. Good luck!

the sock trick works very well. try to use a sock that is close to your hair color and make sure your hair covers it completely.
