mmm can you give some examples about the quantative characteristics???

Contrary to the above answer, quantitative is NOT an either or type of data... that is QUALITATIVE. "The peg fits in the hole" is a qualitative statement in essense.

Quantitative characteristics are NUMERICAL in value. To say an object is large is qualitative. To say an object is 50' per side is quantitative because it ascribes a mathematically objective numerical value to the measurement.
