My goal over Christmas break is to get my office ready before the Spring semester starts so I have a place to study. What colors are condusive to learning? It's a very small room, so dark colors are out.

sage green with cream trim. green is reputed to be the color most conducive to imagination, memory, and creativity. but most greens will feel either too bright and primary or to cool and icy for a space as small as yours.a sagey, gray green will feel the most warm, and is also easy to accessorize--all shades of brown and grey compliment it, and a bold splash of oxblood red or sienna or terra cotta will give you a bit of wow in a cushion or vase or picture frame. a chair or stool upholstered in dark espresso would be a nice accessory. maybe a row of terra cotta pots on the windowsills? these colors will give the room a classy, adult feel without being heavy-handed. dont know how old you are but a lot of the advice in some answers here sounds awfully childish for an adult's needs

some shades of green for you to browse and consider:
Behr: "Restful" "Laurel mist"
RalphLauren: "Cameroon green"
CIL: "Morning haze"

Very pale peach color ...get white gauze curtains
and white pull shades for the window area ... and then a nice brick colored carpet for the floor. White lamps .... and some Boston ferns to put on a bookcase .... or if that is too much care, get a small glass vase and buy flowers ..

Celery is nice, its light and cherry and easy on the eyes when working. Its between a yellow and a very light green. Most paint stores would know what you mean if you ask for celery

You should paint it light green, becuse green is a very calm colour and you will be getting a little stressed in the office so i would stick with green :)

I think a mint green would be nice. I don't know how funky you are when I comes to those things, but then you can use lilac or hot pink accents.
