I need some suggestions for what to do. I ended an 8 year relationship almost a year and a half ago

Wherever you go, be it church or a social club or a community event, don't look like you're on the make. A woman knows when he is in a place because he wants to be there or because he's there to meet women. Women just have this sense about them that they know when they are sexual prey. Be sure that whatever activity you choose is something that you actively like to do. Then, if you do meet a wonderful woman there, you won't look like you're just there to pick up women.
You have to use a little psychology with us womenfolk. LOL :-)

Very interesting story because I am in the same boat . My boyfriend of 9 months told ne that he just wants to be friends with me as well and I can't stop thinking about him either . Well what I can suggest to you is to make sure that you are over your current love interest before persuing a new one . Where to meet a nice gal depends on what you are looking for in a woman there are places like :
Church
Social events
Online ( if that is your scene )
Chat lines or party lines (phone)
Clubs
Museums
the list is endless .

your like me with a 5 year LTR that went south (go see my questions)
I joined www.match.com and yahoo dating.
I Jumped right in, went on a couple of dates. I really liked them and e-mailed and phoned them a couple of times, they didn't phone back or write back. I thought I was a failure at dating and I beat myself up pretty good, I listed everything I did wrong, "was my truck to dirty" "did I end the date to soon" "did offering to buy her a shot turn her off"
I thought of everything I did wrong and felt like crap. Then today I started getting e-mails from the same women I took out over a month ago and they liked me.
Just take your time, act yourself, be kind and remember that people are extremely busy working, schooling, family and holidays etc.
and just try to have fun.

ok, first of all,i am so sorry she cheated on you, that is so sad, but i'm happy you got over it. as for this new chick, that really sux. but hey, don't be upset over it!!! and don't go gallopoing of to find another chick the next day! that's probably just gonna make her feel like she's not worth that much to you because you can alwayz find another girl. just wait it out. there's someone created for everyone....she'll come!

I really don't think u need to go find her...God will put her in ur path if he feels she is tha one for u....bcuz if u put urself to find wat ur lookin for u may neva find it...it's just best to sit back n wait patiently for that special gal of urs...Wish u luck n tha best Holidays!..=0)
